Peter J. Horn, DC, CCSP (Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician)has been a licensed Chiropractic Physician since 1983. He completed postgraduate training and achieved certification as a Chiropractic Sports Physician in 1995. He has additional training as a Golf Specialist with attention on rehabilitation and strengthening. He has treated professional, college and high school athletes. Dr. Horn treats the athlete and non-athlete, for muscular, nerve and joint injuries without drugs or surgery. His treatments include manipulative therapy to the spine and extremities using his hands and the Activator Methods, a small hand held instrument. The therapeutic exercise he provides, allow his patients to participate in their own recovery and maintain wellness. He also uses various modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, hot and cold packs and axial traction as needed for soft tissue treatment and pain relief. Dr. Horn is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, Illinois Chiropractic Society and NUHS alumni Association. He has served two years as Vice President and one year as President of the Northern Illinois Chiropractic Society.
